Creaptive App first campaign – a triumph!

Creative App seems to have been going great guns since Planner Buyer last reported on their inception. Last month the team managed to plan and deliver their first campaign for Massive Travel. The process can only be described as a wonder of team work and brilliant agency planning, buying and campaign management.

Monday:
The brief given was to deliver 1,000,000 acquisitions or holiday sales over a 4 week period, with a budget of £10,000. Stephen Hawking, recently promoted from analyst was given the task of planning the campaign, …

Chigwell Primary school has announced that it is the first Primary education establishment to be offering full Honours degrees in Media Planning. The controversial move has split the industry with some saying that this has dumbed down an exact science.
Bob Rocker, lecturer in Media Planning and art teacher, told us;
“This is a demanding course for the students. We have developed a tough course. Students need to know how to place the correct number of coloured lego blocks next to the people they have played with best at …

Celebrity Planners

“In the spirit of Christmas and the never ending self promotion, a celebrity agency has been set up under the tutelage of media mogul Janet Street Porter. In Janet’s own words the challenge was not so much to highlight any good causes or give something back but, “to see if we could take these useless fuckers and make some bloody cash for me out of these spineless sales shits.”

Her planning and buying staff include Simon Cowell, Jordan, and Kerry Katona.

“So far I think we have the media …

Agency Media Owner relationships revealed…

Sometimes the truth needs to be pointed out…courteousy of an anonymous email source.
Media: hello, Pointless Media
Agency: Hi media monkey whose name I can’t be bothered to remember, it’s Blah from The Really Big and Important Agency. Thanks for the weak attempt at bribery last week when you took my whole team out for masses of drinks although we both know 7 of them were creative and will never make a buying decision.
Media: Ahh yes, the smeg head that can’t be bothered to return my calls, how can I attempt to …

Behavioural adjustment targeted

When times are hard, new technology isn’t always the only solution. Struggling saleshouse Ads4All have taken their behavioural targeting to the next stage by employing a behavioural expert on the sales side if the business. Their latest employee, “Tony” started for the company in March this year and has tripled revenues within the space of two months. It appears Tony has been approaching agencies and asking them to “adjust” their behaviour and book with Ads4All.

Despite all campaigns falling on their arse Tony has still managed to keep re-bookings at 100%. …

I’m sure most people have seen this ad breaking recently, a catchy little tune and a fun animation to explain yet another 118 number service (OK, I know yell.com is probably one of the biggest and its been around for ages).
A (slightly) lesser known fact is that the Ad is complete copy of Magical Trevor, a pretty old school animation from Mr Weebl, who created weebl and bob, the badger viral and, well, Magical Trevor.
Will the Ad achieve more Youtube views than Magical Trevor? It has a way to go …

New “Trailer” for the latest Sony Bravia Ad. Not sure how great it’s going to be, and ironically on my non-200hz screen it’s probably going to rather unimpressive (from a technical point of view).
They kicked off today with a Youtube homepage takover – another irony, seeing as Youtube is well known for not being the highest quality video player, but a huge reach-driver all the same.

Also in the Brandrepublic story for this they (”they” might not actually be Sony) claim it’s the “first homepage takeover on Youtube in the UK”. …

Police have been called in to Carat, part of the Aegis Group, this morning to investigate the mystery explosion of one of their Media Analysts.  Carl Brown 14, originally from Durham, exploded all over the place at 10.00 yesterday spreading guts right across the room.
The cause of this appalling act is as yet unclear.  Carls’s manager Brian Cox commented that “this is most unlike Carl.  He had come in this morning complaining of feeling well, but I thought nothing of it, just another hangover after a freebie night out.”.  Police …

Media planning hit a new high today after, Mediacom successfully negotiated space in an innovative media first.  The latest campaign for Audi will be tattooed onto every dog at Battersea Dogs home.  Strategist Iain Dickinson hailed the coup as truly groundbreaking.
“We are delighted to be pushing the boundaries of advertising once again.  Each dog will be shaved and the tattooed permanently with the advert, creating a permanent branding opportunity.  The number of eyeballs that will see this campaign in such a targeted environment means that Audi will get some amazing …

According to BBC Newsbeat (I know, why not just BBC?) Disney and Youtube have struck a “landmark” deal to allow Youtube to distribute Disney’s ESPN Sports channel and other TV shows for the next couple of months.
Disney said the deal allows them ”the opportunity to reach a broader, online audience as well as extend the reach of our advertisers”.
Or, “we’re not making enough money from TV ads, and youtube have agreed to go halves…” [this is not a quote from disney].
I’m off to think about why this deal is landmark. Here’s …
