20 staff face the Axe at top sales house

7 October 2009 No Comment

Management at Sales House, B-Star, today announced that they will be axing 20 of their staff. The unlucky few face a bleak future as the selected will be for the chop next week. Dave D’Boy, managing Director has made the decision to literally give them the axe and have a public execution on Charlotte Street next Thursday.

“We decided that this would probably be the best way forward. Not only do we not have to pay any redundancy fees, but also this makes for a bit of a morale boost for the lucky ones that haven’t been chosen.”

“These are tough times”, he continued “and we all have to make cost savings. B-Star is an innovative and fresh thinking company and we really feel this fits in with the ethos. Terribly unlucky for those chaps who will leave us, but I’m sure they see the sense and hopefully they’ll enter into the spirit of it.”

There hasn’t been a public execution since that of Michael Barrett, on the 27th May, 1868, who was hanged for the Clerkenwell bombing, at Newgate.

Several companies are said to be in talks with B-Star for sponsorship of the event, which is expected to attract hundreds of Big Brother fans (or any other car crash TV fan).

A media first….a disgrace.
